I would like to provide some insight into the founding of Career Advantage and the journey to our current success. After completing my Business Communications Degree from the University of Kansas, I was in human resources for ten years. Many times, as acquaintances discovered my profession, they would begin asking for advice about job search techniques, and resume writing. This resulted in providing freelance human resources consulting for many years while being a full time professional recruiter. Eventually, I decided to conduct employment consulting on a full time basis and founded Career Advantage. I have a passion for giving individuals the insider's perspective on how to succeed in their job search. I have found that for many frustrated job seekers, it is not their skills and experience that are lacking. Rather, it is the presentation of their skills and experience that caused me and other hiring managers to choose other candidates. I have created resumes for all levels of employment, ranging from new high school graduates, receptionists and truck drivers to teachers, nurses, military officers, I.T. professionals and corporate managers. I believe Career Advantage is the missing link for many individuals to finally succeed in their job search.

As Career Advantage expanded, I began to establish partnerships with fellow certified human resource professionals who now provide freelance resume writing and are human resources consultants for Career Advantage clients. After successfully establishing Career Advantage as the leading employment consulting firm in the local area, we decided to launch Career Advantage online. We have continued to maintain our superior personal attention to our clients- both internet and local. All documents are created by a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR). This distinction is given by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and requires passing a rigorous test on all areas of Human Resources.
